Home & Office Removals
LUNVAX moves household and office belongings from Norway to Turkey and from Turkey to Norway, door to door. Norway is not a member of the European Union, so your belongings go through Norwegian customs on the way out. We handle that customs declaration for you. The other official steps – Skatteetaten, the Turkish consulate and Turkish customs – are explained below.

Leaving Norway: Export Declaration Above NOK 5,000 – Handled by Us
Norway is outside the European Union's customs territory, so household goods leaving Norway cross a customs border. According to Tolletaten, the Norwegian Customs Service, you must declare your removal goods for export if they're worth more than NOK 5,000. The declaration is based on a list of the goods and your identification.
Tolletaten itself notes that removal companies usually know the procedures and can arrange the export on your behalf. That's exactly what we do: LUNVAX handles the customs declaration for your move. Send us an item-by-item list of your belongings early on. We'll use the same list for your quote and for the declaration. Tolletaten also reminds you to check the rules of the country you're moving to; the Turkish side is covered below.
Reporting Your Move to Skatteetaten and Getting Your Turkish Documents
If you plan to stay abroad for at least six months, you must report your move to Skatteetaten, the Norwegian Tax Administration. Skatteetaten says you can do this no more than 31 days before you leave. Your notice updates your entry in Folkeregisteret, the National Registry.
For Turkish customs, the exemption for used household goods requires at least 24 months abroad. You'll also need an ikamet nakil belgesi (residence transfer certificate) from the Turkish mission you're registered with. Consulates usually ask for proof that your registration has been cancelled and, if you were working, that your employment has ended. Turkish customs also asks for a vukuatlı nüfus kayıt örneği (full civil registry record) and a list of your goods attached to the sözlü beyan formu (customs declaration form).
Moving from Turkey to Norway: Flyttegodserklæring (RD-0030)
Moving from Turkey to Norway? You can bring your household goods in without paying duty if you meet Tolletaten's main conditions:
- You have lived abroad continuously for at least one year
- You kept and used the goods during your stay abroad
- You bring the goods within a reasonable time, and no later than one year after moving to Norway
Tolletaten uses the Flyttegodserklæring (removal goods declaration, form RD-0030) for this. On this leg too, we handle the customs declaration procedures for your move and tell you which details and documents we need from you.
The official information on this page has been compiled from guidance published by the authorities named and is for general information only. Value limits and rules can change, so please check the current version with the relevant authority before you apply.
What We Move from Norway
From your home or office in Norway, we move:

- White goods and boxed kitchenware
- Desks, office chairs, archive and equipment boxes
If your goods need an export declaration, you'll need an item list anyway – so write it room by room and send it on WhatsApp, and we'll base your quote on it. We don't offer packing; the transport is organised by us, with our own team and our own fleet.
